i was wonder if you know if a 4 cylinder tdi will bolt to a 5 cylinder manual trans both out of quantums.

Since there were no TDIs in the Quantums I'm assuming you mean TD (turbo diesel). Looking at the 2 available 2WD transmissions it looks like they should both bolt up to either engine. Of course, if you're looking at putting an AWD (syncro) transmission in a car that wasn't equipped with it, or vice versa, you'll run in to some problems.

Good Morning,

Generally, you cannot bolt a 4-cylinder engine to a transmission used with a 5-cylinder engine. This applies to both manual and automatic transmissions.

You can, however, bolt an Audi V8 to the Quantum 5-cyl transmission. I just learned that from someone who's done it.
