Good day everyone,
I'm working on repairing the cruise control on our 2001 Cabrio and have a couple questions.

Does the vacuum pump have a one way check valve built in? I have the pump on the bench for testing, and it does work and creates vacuum, but as soon as i disconnect the power the vacuum drops off. Is this normal or should it hold a vacuum? I want to make sure the pump is good, or if i need a new pump or to put in a check valve.

I also have no power coming through the wiring going from the cruse control module and the pump. I was working on checking the continuity and it seems like i do not have any continuity in this wiring. Has anyone had their wiring fail like this? I have no issues running new (3) wires, but wanted to make sure i'm not missing anything else first.

All the other Bentley checks seem to be coming up as good. I wanted to be able to eliminate the wiring / vacuum pump before i can see wither the control module is good or not.
