2010 Sportwagen with a 2.5. 53k miles. Just bought it 10 weeks ago from a Chevy dealer, and they're willing to do very little to nothing to help me because I opted out of their warranty.

It might also be shifting hard into second...hard to tell because it shifts so quickly from a stop. Only on the upshift, and only when the trans has been warmed up. Come to think, it seems to only do it from a stop.

I am assuming this trans is beyond the cutoff for the extended VW warranty. That's what VW is telling me anyway...both the local dealer and the chat portion of the VW USA site.

VW says it needs a transmission because one of the clutches is the problem as the solenoids, fluid pressure and temp. are all in the normal operating conditions. That is, I get the impression that they say 'clutches' by process of elimination. I don't think they actually disassembled anything.

Does anyone have any advice? Looks like I'll be stuck holding the bag on this one.
