Hello everyone just purchased my first VW Bug 1969/1970. My problem is there is NO serial number on the engine. I have the VIN number but NO engine number it states it should be below the firing order but it's not their so I don't know what engine I have. Can anyone help me out with this somehow?

Oh the car says it was produced in Germany in November of 1969. But the title says 1970 so I'm thinking it was produced in November of 1969 but didn't hit the market till 1970.

Keep in mind that the registration will show the "Model Year". In that era, the "Model Year" typically was built starting in Sept of the previous year. So a NOV '69 build date would be consistent for a 1970 model year. I wouldn't sweat that. And, yes, 1969 would be built in Germany. I don't think they ever built bugs here, though I'm pretty sure they did in Mexico.
I can't help with the Serial Number on the engine. I would guess it isn't even the original engine. Very likely it's not an original VW engine at all. There are companies who make replacement engines, though I don't know much about them.
