Hi there,

I had an ABS module go bad. The P/N is 0273004284 and I got a used one that matched exactly. Having now replaced it the error lights are out so I am glad of that. However I wish to run the ABS pump procedure as per bleeding instructions in the Bentley. The 5.7 doesn't require this but the 5.3, which I have confirmed I have, does. Anyway I cannot login to the darn thing. I could not login to the old one as it was toast. The Soft Coding on the replacement says: 0273004284, which is the P/N so I guess it has either reset itself or?

As a side I don't really know of the relevance of the shop code. Not sure if it is a point to worry about. My cable is genuine etc.

Anyway can anyone shed any light? I tried the Basic Settings 001, 002 and there's nothing there to interact with at those #'s. So I believe I need to login, code and do the steering thing. Then try the ABS pump / bleed. I figured out my login should be 07*5*97, 07*3*97 or 07*4*97 (the 1st one, 3rd digit matches what I hope is the PR brake code in the maint' book but I actually have 16" rims so?!?)

I would so appreciate some help / direction here. I've spent the last two days banging my head against a wall. Attached is what I see for the ABS mod' from VAGCOM. Also attached is a scan.
