Hi Guys,
can anyone please identify my recent problem. My car is a 1993 300E auto..103 engine.
After sitting for a month or so the car is experiencing trouble with no traction from standing start . The engine will rev out but not put to the drive wheels. It will move off with a lot of coaxing , and then drive almost normally once you have motion. It then changes up and down through the gears smoothly as though nothing is wrong.
Should I be looking to an electrical problem? The car had a rat nesting in the engine bay and now I have no parking lights working on the right side, no horn, and the airconditioning will not run other than fan.
Is it just a coincidence that all these failures should happen at the same time or is this the result of a hungry rat?
The drive problem is my priority first so any clues will be appreciated..thanks !

How about checking the OIL level in the transmission?
