Just writing in to see if any other fellow TDI owners have encounted this problem before, i have a B8 a4 quattro with the 3.0TDI motor, I picked up a pending fault with my OBD2 scanner which had me call the dealership to clarify and I was told that the runners internal to my intake manifold on bank one of my motor were causing the fault.
The dealerships response to this was simply to replace both of my intake manifolds entirely. funnily enough this would cost me excess of $2500 as im told each manifold complete with electronic motor (to drive the butterflies, see ebay listing) costs around 1100.
After some more research out on the net I found the following kit on ebay:
Which is just a set of replacement internals for the manifold themselves!
So to get to the core of my question. Has anyone on here got around to doing this ?? There are a few handy videos on youtube that show how easy it is to actually do the internal replacement so ill be fine with that, removing the manifolds from the motor to begin with is a whole other beast!! I need a service / workshop manual for my vehicle but after speaking with one of the staff members from Bentleypublishers they were unable to find the manual specifically for my a4 quattro with 3.0TDI engine!!
