Hello,

I have a 97 Jetta GL and due to some moisture and humidity build up inside my car at one point my screen for my radio has blacked out. I was wondering does anyone know how to restore the screen? Sometimes it starts to clear but not fully. And I can't reinsert my code to activate my radio. I thought about taping some rice to the screeen to dry it up. HELP! Please?

I can only suggest pulling the radio and puting it your home... somewhere to dry out.
You also said "And I can't reinsert my code to activate my radio"

Because of the screen..not clear to see? Or are the buttons not responding

Thank you! Yes by the screen being blacked out 85% I can't input my code. I do have it. And have had to use it before. The buttons did respond then. I hope I can pull it out and everything respond well again. But Bob, if I pull it out will there be any other issues I have to deal with because it's been removed?

Puting a radio back in should only require the code.
I can't think of any other issue...
But if you do get it dried out, that won't gaurantee that it will be perfect. If there was enough moisture, there will be damage.
Radio stations might not tune in just right, etc..

It might be time for a new radio.

I don't have these special keys. I made them out of wired coat hanger.
