2001 Eurovan GLS

My electric mirror switch is not working. I thought it was maybe the fuse. Checked that. It's all good there. Bought a new switch. Tested it with a new switch but still no mirror movement. I hear a clicking sound in the front of the van but still no movement on either mirror.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like one or more wires in the harness leading for the fuse block under the dashboard and going to the electrical connectors inside the driver's door has been separated. Sometimes the wire(s) can be repaired but often a new wire harness is required. Take off the door panel and check continuity in each wire or simply replace the harness. New harness can be had for less than $150.

The most common cause is wires breaking between the door and the body where they run through the rubber "accordion" flexible tube. After a lot of flexing copper gets stiff, cracks, and breaks.
You can often find and fix the wire just by pulling the ends of the flex tube out of the door or body to expose the wires, find the broken one and splice it.
However, this situation probably means a lot of the wires in this area are over-flexed, and I agree replacing the harness may be needed to stop future problems. After splicing most of the wired on both my and my son's EVs I finally got new harnesses from the dealer for peace of mind.
