A few weeks back I had a 2a99 shadow code being stored in my 2006 325i with the N52 engine. After researching I took the course of action to remove, clean, and swap the VANOS solenoids. All seemed fine with not new 2a99 codes being stored. Fast forward to today and I am now getting the 2a98 and 2a99 codes being stored. I should add that I have not CEL light and the car seems to drive normal. Should I look at just replacing both solenoids? What I am stressed about is that it could be a bearing ledge issue, but from what I was reading that is not a common issue with the N52 engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
