Hi All

Thought I would share these images with you.

My car passed its MOT last week after having the right hand shock absorber replaced along with a front right hand link rod. Since then the car has been pulling to the left and I took it back in to get the tracking done. It ended up having two new track rods and track rod ends fitted on Friday. I picked it up and the car is still pulling to the left but did not have time to take it back to the garage.

I inspected the car today and took some photographs. Here they are. Would be interesting to hear what you think of this. Obviously I have mu opinion and my speech sorted for tomorrow morning when I go back to see the garage owner.

You should never ever change only one shock absorber if the car/ shocks have more then 50.000 km on the clock.
Well the spring assembly seems tricky out :)

Hi Hasso

I have checked the assembly and it looks like they have fitted the spacer on top of the bearing rather than in between the upper spring mount and top strut bearing housing. I think this is causing the stiffness and the pulling. I can't be sure until the whole shock assembly is removed again but certainly there is a large washer/spacer on top of the bearing under the shock nut. According to the parts diagram for my model there should not be a washer there, only the lock nut, there is only the nut on the other side. The other shock was changed a year ago, 10,000 miles.
