E36 ABS Fault

HI All I am looking for help in finding this ABS Fault.
The ABS light stays on and I have tried to use carsoft to diagnose the fault. There seems to be no response from the ABS when trying to read the faults. Has anyone had any problems with can bus errors or not communicating. The carsoft reads other modules ok. I have checked all the fuses and connections etc and all seems to be ok. Any pointers would be much appreciated.

When the ABS controller goes feet up it stops communicating
Check for faults in other controllers like DME and EGS for any ABS comm faults
