E39 Front Blinker Issues

So, now i have experienced the same problem with each of my two front blinkers. They stop working. You wiggle the socket back and forth and they work again. One of these blinkers has had a new socket installed and still experienced the same problem. Obviously it is a grounding short. Is there a more permanent solution than wiggling the socket?
