Does anyone know if this sensor has anything to do with fuel mileage? my gauge only shows just above 60 c all the time and I am getting horrible gas mileage. The car is a 1989 Audi 90 2.3L 5cyl and the sensor is located at the bottom of the engine on the oil pump housing near the oil filter.
