I'm a new owner of a used 2000 VW Passat. I don't no much about cars. What are some inexpensive and expensive ways to bring back some kick to my car???

If the car's had proper maintenance it's whole life, then there isn't really anything you should do or would need to do.

Is the car experiencing any running problems? If you're having specific issues, please describe them. Also, please let us know what engine and transmission you have.

Hmm well i know its got the turbo, 5speed manual trans, forgot what the engine was.

I'm starting to think a got a lemon from the used car lot cause i've had alot of repairs in the short time i've had the car. Water leak messed up some sort of comfort control electric board or something, A/C stopped working a little while ago, an just little thing on the inside are starting to break. Like the handle to the glove compartment, and the nob to direct the a/c. :(

If it's a stock turbo, you probably have the 1.8L engine. As far as I can recall, water intrusion causing control module failures is a known problem on your generation Passat. Are you experiencing any other performance problems?

There is a TSB out on the water intrusion problem, and my son's 2003 was modified by the dealer at no charge. They change sealing in the plenem air inlet, and modify drains.
