Here is the dumb question of the week. How do you unlatch the MAF harness connector on the 2.5 liter motor? I am trying to change the air filter element, and need to disconnect the MAF harness in order to remove the engine cover. I've tried everything I can think of to get the connector to separate, but without success. I don't want to force it and break something. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Where is everyone?

See attached image... taken from Bentley CD (could be image for 2.0L, but connectors are similar).

You have to push on the little tab to "tilt" it away from the base... this lifts the clip so that it clears the tab and you can then pull the connector off of the MAF.

Thanks for the help. It worked like a charm.

I've noticed the traffic on this forum is pretty light, compared to the Mk3 forum. Maybe the Mk5's aren't old enough to develop many problems.
