I understand the basics of this operation, but the specifics are conspicuously missing from the Bentley DVD, even though it is refered to repeatedly throughout the manual. Bentley tells me that Audi left this out of the info provided to them, even though detailed instructions are included in hardcopy Bentley manuals I own for my other cars (VW's).

Does anyone know a link or other access to a detailed guide to the procedure for 2001 A8 in particular. I like to do things right...by the book.

Very helpful. An earlier model in video, but looks like a good guide with similar (if not the same) lock carrier attachment. Way more info than Audi was willing to share with Bentley (?).
