ENGINE MOUNTS

So mine are shot.
I know the front one is pretty easy. (Just jack up oil pan and you're done).
How about the other 2?
Anyone have any pointers before I start this?
Do I have to lift the engine from the top or can I play around with it from underneath?
thanks

If you are replacing one-at-a-time, then just support from under the oil pan. You will need to
be able to work from the top as well as from the bottom, so make sure that the front
of the car is lifted high enough and is well supported (jack stands etc).
What engine? What transmission?

Hey. THanks for the info.
It's a 2.0 ABA engine. Not sure of the tranny.
I know that front one is'nt that bad. I had dropped it a few months ago when I did the starter.
I was just afraid that the back 2 might be tricky.

One of the back ones is pretty tricky, based on the research I did for replacing the 020 manual trans. It's the one that's behind/near the exhaust down-pipe. I know it's going to be 10 times harder to replace it than to disconnect it like I needed, but just disconnecting it was an absolute PITA.
I built my own engine support hoist and used ratcheting straps to lift the engine from the top. Was still able to easily work from above since the only interference were two 1-inch straps. I was moderately impressed with the cleverness of that design.
