To Purchase the Extended Warranty and Maintenance Package

Should I purchase the Extended Warranty and Maintenance package when my 2006 BMW 325i warranty and maintenance package is no longer valid (4 yrs./50,000 miles). I have 37,000 miles on my car and the car w.b. 4 years the 1st of Feb. 2010. I have had only 1 problem with the car and that was to reprogram the electrical.

I can't seem to find anywhere the repair history's for this year and model to calculate my expenses if I don't purchase the packages.

If I should purchase the extended packages, should I purchase from the dealer or an outside vendor?

extended warranties are always a crap shoot
will the car break? what will it cost?

going from past history 1 major failure can pay for the policy.
ie: auto trans, engine

even control units, and there are plenty on this car, are not cheap.

if I plan on keeping the vehicle for a long time I purchase the maint. and extended warranty, usually from the manufacturer

a plus is if they are transferable if I sell the vehicle
