In the manual you describe how to drain and fill the GM automatic transmission sump. What I also need to know is how to drain and fill the torque converter.

BMW does not incorporate a drain / fill plug on the torque converter. The only way to get the fluid out would be to use a fluid flusher and flush the entire system. I would check with BMW to see if they approve this service, as I do not know if they do.
