I have a 96 Golf GTI VR6, the sway links are starting to get loose. I have new ones but not sure how to put them on? they don't look bad to do.

Should be straight forward... loosen/remove the nuts at the
base of the links and then rotate the sway bar up to remove
the links from the control arm(s). Then wiggle the links
off of the sway bar. Install in reverse (with new bushings
washers & nuts).
