Where is valve cover removal for E36 cylinder engines?

It is part of cylinder head removal.
Please refer to page 113-10, bottom right of page.

Basically, you need to remove the items above the valve cover (air plenum, top engine covers, ignition coils, and injector harness) to access the cover retainers.
