Could anyone please help me with this one? I have replaced the engine temp. sensor in my '89 300e. The problem is that I cannot locate the torque setting to the top of the head and I own the mb factory repair cd, the bentley e-class owners bible, the w124 owners workshop manual and the bentley mb technical companion and there is not one mention of the replacing of this sensor or at what torque to tighten it. Thank-you very much.

I am a mechanic for a transportation company, I replace coolant temp sensors when they wear out. I do not have the specs for your vechicle and do not use specs for the sensors at work, if need be, just snug it down and watch for leaks after running the engine. I hope that I do not sound 1/2 *** about it, it's not my intention.
