High beam not working

Hi everyone. I'm having a problem with my bmw 520 1997. my left hand high beam will not work, I replaced the bulb but stil won't work. I put a multimeter on to the electrical plug and i get 8.5vDC when i put onto the highbeam working i get 14vDC. The car does be running when i took my reading. thanks in advance for your help

Hi you proberly need to change the mosfettransistor in the LCM to the left light.

Does anyone know where to get this Mosfet for the high beam or do they know another one to use. Because the manafactor does not make them anymore. I was told that they stop making them something to do with the lead content. So i need help
