Hello Gam-20. Unfortunately, the proper way to do this is that you must have all the freon r-134 removed by a mechanic (to recycle it)and then at that point you or your mechanic can work on your a/c system to replace the evaporator. The last step would be to pull a vacuum on your a/c system, confirm no leaks and finally refill the freon back in. Doing it any other way will waste freon and pollute the environment. Good luck. Maybe I dont explain very well, the coolant that I refer in my question is the collant for refrigeration system of the engine. That circuit is diferent to circuit of the freon.

gam-20, It appears that you're confused. If you really need a new evaporator (it looks like a radiator in front of your 328i's REAL radiator) then you must do what i spelled out in my last post. The evaporator has freon running through it, NOT coolant. You are confusing the coolant system with the a/c system. An a/c evaporator has no coolant (anti-freeze) in it. If your post is about your engine cooling system, then I'm confused, because there is no a/c evaporator in the cooling system circuit.
Please carefully spell out what led you to suspect the a/c evaporator.

The engine coolant doesn't have to be totally drained, but it has to be drained out of the heater core-unless you want to soak the carpet with it.

I saw the entire diagram of the a/c system and I dont understand if I´ll chenge the A/c evaporator, why I need to drain the coolant in the engine refrigeration system. They are two separate system or I´m wrong.

I think there's confusion from your use of the phrase "engine refrigeration system" - that's generally just called the cooling system (radiator, water pump, thermostat, water based coolant etc). When most peoople hear the word refrigeration they think of Freon-based systems.
The cooling system and AC system are indeed separate but the condensor and radiator are located next to one another at the front of the car and the heater core and the AC evaporator are located next to one another within the climate control system (IHKA) in the middle of the dashboard.
If you want to remove the AC evaporator you need to remove the heater core - if you remove the heater core without first draining the coolant you'll have a mess on your hands with coolant going lots of places you probably don't want it to.

thank you to all of you. Now I understand why I need to drain the coolant in the engine system before change the a/c evaporator.
Now in my country Republic of Panama the weather is alwais around 32 degrees celcius, I relly never will use the heater system. I can eliminate the heater core or not?
Thank you again to all of you

If you took the heater core out you would need to securely plug both coolant lines going to it and it might be difficult to bleed all of the air out of the system. Best to leave it in place I think.
