Need to recharge the system on a 1994 Audi 100. How do I know if it has R12 or 134? Also when I looked to recharge the sytem there is a quick connector by the radiator, but under the cover near the windshield there is a screw on type connector? Is there an adaptor kit for this? If so what is the # of the kit & where to purchase. Is this where the freon goes once I find out which type freon it has?

you will see the size of the fitting and by the year should be R-134A also Audi start ussing R-134 in october 1992 ,for all Audi car

Some eception still R-12 but you should find a decal under hood for type of refregerant

A/C isn't something to play around with!!!
if you hook up to the wrong fitting and end up on the hi pressure side, the can you are holding blows up in your hand.

a lot of the Audi only have a hi side fitting because the proper way to charge the system is the evacuate and recharge with a recycler machine with a specified charge weight.
