I have a existence,1995 with 151,000 miles on it.It seems that in the morning for the first couple hours it runs fine. After that the lifters start to tap had mobile one oil put in based on the recommened specs. My question is with this many miles should I still run the recommend oil weight as if it was new,or should I switch to a thicker grade.

First, it does not take several hours for the engine to bring the oil to operating temp, but perhaps 10 to 20 minutes.
It will not hurt the engine to try different motor oil.
What is an existence, please?
