Getting a nice tick tick tick outta the engine, like in the center, gonna change the oil tomorrow. Do i need a new oil pump? Anyone got any ideas for a fix?

How many miles on the engine?

Lifters could just be sticking... if you had low oil pressure
then all lifters would be noisy.

Try some lifter cleaner/engine oil treatment.

A good high rpm run 3500 to 4500 for 10 min should free-up
clean out lifters. If still noisy after treatment and good
pressure (verified with mechanical oil pressure gauge) then
replace all lifters.

did the oil change, and added lucus oil heavy duty oil stablerizer. no dice still got the valve tap. it ranges to how bad to how little it is. oil pump? or maybe lifters? and if lifters how hard is it to change, never did?

Was oil pressure verified? Lifters are straight foward, remove timing belt and camshaft to get to them. Might want to do valve stem seals as well while you are in there... but will make things more complicated.

Having owned and worked on many G60 Corrados I often find that after replacing the lifters that not all of the noise will go away and that the rod bearings needs replacement.

The rod bearing job costs about $75-$100 in parts.
