Hi, my car is 1991 318is with M42 motor. The car is
"hard" to start, after start up, the idle speed is running between 700 to 3000 rpm and the car will die. I
replaced all 4 fuel injectors, gas filter. Questions:-
How to check & test (a) idle control valve, actuator
(b) air flow meter
(c) Throtle potentiomet switch.
Your technical advises are very appreciated & thank you.

#2 son, first check for a vacuum leak, there must be something, IAC valve usually would not cause so bad idle fluctuation, you also can disconnect MAF sensor and see is it going to change.

Hi, Mr Bresha, thank you for you advices.I check all vac-hoses are in good condition. I have the car running &
drive for 15 minutes, then the car stalled. the car start but stall after 2 seconds.Fuel pump problem ?
Please help. Thank.
