I AM CONSIDERING THE PURCHASE OF AN 89 633CSI AND I AM CURIOUS AS TO THE HORSEPOWER RATING ON THE 3.3-3.5 MOTOR WITH THE 5 SPEED AND WHAT THINGS ARE PROBLEMATIC WITH THIS MODEL THANK YOU

I believe, there was no 1989 633CSI, but a 635CSI or an L6 with an 3.5L - 185HP engine (US-version).
M30 was most likely best BMW engine ever.

The hydraulic brake boost system is expensive to repair. Make sure you don't have red brake lights on. Also the airbag system was a bit little unique if I remember correctly. Great car, but a 20+ year old car will need lots of things replaced if the old owner wasn't particular. How many miles, leather okay?

I believe the L6/635CSI did not have hydro-boost, but the M6.
