Diagnose and Repair 1984 911 Carrera (1st DME)
NO START
12V at coil+, no spark at plug.
Speed sensor fails test, replaced, Repair complete.
*Start and FUN TO DRIVE AGAIN*.

Bentley service manual misleading,p.200-16 and 280-11 !?

From my experience, speed sensors can and do fail, and
do cause a no start condition.

Correct Troubleshooting Procedures save time.
