Would anyone know how to increase the tension on the seat belt retractors? I'm getting tired of pushing it back in by hand. Any information would be helpful.

Thanks ...

Unless something is dragging on them and making them retract poorly, I'd just replace them. They aren't a part I'd be comfortable trusting if they were modified.

A UK site suggests pulling the belt out all the way, clean and then spray with silicone lubricant. Let dry fully before allowing it to retract. Apparently, the belt gets slightly stiffer and dirty over time and the mechanism isn't quite strong enough to drag it back through the opening and around the reel. Many claims of success with this method. The belt would again retract as it did when new. No need to do anything to the mechanism although some did attempt to lubricate it.
