Hi Nads,

Thank you for your interest in a Bentley E90 3 Series service manual. You're the first to ask about the E90 cars. We don't have a schedule at this point, but it is on the list. Wish i could tell you more. Are you looking for specific repair information. What would you like to see covered?

I would like to see a manual for the '08 M3. It helps when we do mods.

Should have your usual maintenance and repair info plus expanded electronics including resetting those "maintenance" codes.

Any update?

Thanks for the input. Do you mean the condition based service (CBS) maintenance reset?

Nothing to report on an expected date at this time, sorry.

Yes, exactly. I think that you can press the trip odometer with the key in some kind of position, but I was never able to figure out the right sequence for the re-set.

Depends on what codes. Engine management you can use any generic obd II scanner, or autozone will do it for free. Other systems will require a bmw-specific scan tool.

Oh, you can do that through the dash. Search the forum for Service Indicator or Service Indicator reset.

Oops...E90 I think you need the factory scan tool (GT1 or or Autologic). It's a CBS car (condition based service). Sorry, didn't notice it was the E90. I'll check though and get back to you.

I have a airbag warning light on my dashboard. I went to autozone to pull the codes and none show up on their scan tool. I have heard that this is a common problem and is usually caused by a bad connection either under the passenger seat or by the airbag itself.
Also, I need to replace my brakes and rotors. I am sure that there are special tools that I will need. Also, as everyone said, how do we reset the codes when we complete our own maintenance.

The Autozone tool is for emissions related systems only. Won't read MRS system. You'll need to find a shop that has the right scan tool, either a factory GT 1 or an Autologic. Take a look here for a shop: www.bimrs.org

There are two TSBs (BMW factory bulletins) that could relate to your issue. I attach both. The essence of each bulletin is that the airbag system control module (MRS module) needs to be reprogrammed using the factory tool.
