Audi TT Roadster 2002 possible master cylinder problem

Hello,

I own a 2002 Audi TT Roadster (manual transmission). Late last summer, it was difficult to get it into 1st and 2nd gear. Now, it won't go into gear at all, so I can't move the car out of my garage.

I suspect a bad master cylinder. Before I jump to this conclusion I would like to check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder. Where is the master cylinder reservoir located? Also, any thoughts in general on this problem I would greatly appreciate.

many thanks,

john

I am not familiar with your specific vehicle, but typically a hydraulic clutch (master-slave) shares the fluid reservoir with the hydraulic brake system.
