I changed the battery in my 99 ML, enter the original code & it worked. How or who could have changed the code. I'm no expert but it sounds like someone either gave you the wrong code or could you have possibly entered it wrong?

Radio will have to be removed to get serial number off it & then MB will have to be contacted to get the correct code.

I replaced the battery.

Radio code using Vin# did not work.

Removed radio to get S/NO.AL191040187131 from the radio.

Problem is that the MB dealer tells me that the serial number should be a letter plus 7 to 8 digits.
The codes they gave me do not work. Any ideas?

HELP!

Hi!
Can you publish original picture of Radio side where all the info (Serial# & other stuff) is lockated?
Then maybe i can help you with the code.

Hi!
Sorry I can't find my database with codes yet. I let you know if i find it ( It looks hopeless to me).
Mean time You can call MB Dealership & tell them
that you need Code for Radio:
Audio 30 with serial # 40187131.
They should give it to you. This information also available on printout for Car history (if this Radio is original to the Car) at MB dealership.
Last resort is to take radio to electonics repair shop & read small eeprom (24c04) inside radio & determine code this way.

I had Code Calculators for Radios from Serial but sadly also can't lockate it for Alpine Radios.

I hope this helps a bit. :)

Thank you Kaluluka!!!

I called the dealer, for the 20th time; and this time the guy gave me the right code. He kept telling me to bring the car in and that they already gave me all the codes for the serial.

All working now!

:)
