I have an intermittent problem with my cabin lights in my 01 tt roadster. Frequently the cabin lights wont turn off automatically. I can turn the cabin light switch to the off position and the lights will then remain off. The problem is occurs when the cabin light switch is in the "auto" or middle position. Anyone experienced this and have and idea about whats going on?

Same problem here with my 01 TT Roadster. Seems also to be related to alarm motion sensor ON/OFF switch which is intermittent. Troubleshooting at Audi and independent mechanic was unsuccessful. Interested in any solutions or suggestions.

My 2000 TT light would not come ON, and I ended up getting the light unit replaced for about $200. If you are electrically inclined, you can check some of the contacts in the light unit itself, as it has some electronics on an attached circuit board to fade on and fade off the lights. I discovered that my unit was bad, with an open circuit. Yours might have a short. Good luck.
