I Have a 98 GTI VR6 With the same error code and have had it checked/ reset several times, the CEL comes back on from 2 to 10 days after I've been reading the posts to the other PO4011 Topic and have checked the Fuse possibility My car has this fuse box on the shock tower with 2 fuses in it 1 20amp and 1 5amp the 5amp was blown so i replaced it the cover for the thing even has 20A and 5A molded right into it so whats the deal , am i messin with the right thing is it really supposed to be a 50 amp? I dont really have any performance problems with the car just the annoying CEL
Any Input ?

That's the wrong one... see attached image for location of
relay/fuse.

You can download the Bentley CD for your car (free) and activate
it for $89.95 ($10 cheaper than if they ship you a CD) and
it's a lot quicker!

Highly recommend it!

If you have access to vag-com you can easily "trigger" the
relay to see if it "clicks"... vag-com will cycle the relay
and every time the relay clicks, the SAI pump should run.

If the relay click but the pump does not run, it's either a
faulty fuse or a bad pump.

You have to check the combi valve as well... and the solenoid
that controls the vacuum too the combi valve.

Vag-com can also trigger the solenoid at which point you can
check if vacuum is abble to pass through the solenoid.

The SAI system has many components... and will not work
correctly if just 1 is not working.

Thanks! But what is the one i specified for? (the 5amp fuse) and on the one you sent is it the 111 relay ? itself or under it? I am not very Knowledgeable about these things is something actually wrong, because i can hear the SAI come on when first starting the car, also there is a P-FLO on the car, I was told there should not be a problem with this interfering with OBD system.

I'm pretty sure that's the rad fan control module.

111 is the relay. 111 is the "control number" VW
stamps on the relay.
