I have some wires broken that come out of the distributor, and in order to fix them I have to remove the metal cap in the distributor to get to the wires underneath. I have removed the snap ring but the cap won't budge....;;HELP.
the wires that are broken go to the hall sender and almost impossible to fix.the metal cover is the trigger wheel,and will require special tool #3163 to remove,it is a small puller.as the hall sender will probably have to be replaced, the wheel comes with the kit.you might be able to pry it off,but in the end you might be better off finding a used distributor
