I finally got the heater box out(with a lot of help from past posts here, thank you very much) and now I find there isn't a spec of foam
left anywhere in the unit. I purchased some HVAC metal tape which
leads to ? #1.
---Do I tape over all the holes on both flaps with holes?
and
----there is a small. squarish flap with no holes but it appears
to have had foam on both sides of it's "sealing" edge.
Is there a special type of foam that should be used or can
I just cut a small strip off the wall of my sound mixing room
and silicone adhesive it on?
I want to make sure to do everything correctly as I don't intend
to EVER do another heater core replacement, did I mention, EVER!

Wow... and this whole time I was under the impression that
the dash needed to be removed. Sorry my initial post indicated
to do so... that's all I've ever heard to make it easier.

I've heard of guys taping the holes shut with good success,
but foam would ensure sealing around the ducts.

Thanks for posting the PDF and good luck on re-assembly!

I wasn't able to find any kind of foam either. I sealed everything
With metal tape. This causes some heat to escape even when
Heater is off although no one sells the insulation that I've found.
