I have a 1999 VW New Beetle and your service Manual (VB99) of the same vintage. Page 87-21 shows two high pressure service valve ports and no low pressure service valve port,(fig 15, items 6 & 19). I assume that this is a misprint. Could you please advise me where, on the diagram, is the low pressure service valve port. Thank you.

Good Evening, vwpete,

You must have one of the very early editions of that manual. Callout #19 is indeed the low pressure port and we corrected that oversite in later printings. You would, of course, see that when gauges were connected since only a low pressure gauge would connect to the low pressure fitting and you would (should) only see low pressure anyway there anyway.

I've attached the updated page from a later edition (VB02). Sorry for the confusion.

I don't have any connections in the front of my 2.5 liter VW new beetle. There are at least 2 connectors
on the right side.
