Last August, I had the A/C system charged on my '92 VW Corrado SLC (89K miles); it worked GREAT until I stopped using it in the Texas "winter."

I've turned on the A/C since March and am not getting any cold air; I attempted to recharge the system (it is a 134a conversion) and even discharged some thinking it was over pressurized.

If anyone can give me some advice on this one, I'd most assuredly appreciate it because it is getting hot real fast down here.

How can I tell if my AC compressor relay isn't working? Is there somewhere I can take it to be tested?

did you figure anything out? my compressor works when it's jumped, but it doesn't normally. respond here or to kamel15@gmail.com

I charged the system up and the A/C compressor kicked on, so I do believe I have a leak somewhere. Hopefully it is not the condenser or one of the main lines, but I'll be troubleshooting to find it.

I have a G-60 also an d noticed a post you posted years ago...However, did you ever find out why your compressor was engaging only when it was jumped but not normally? I am having the same issue....
