The Phaeton repair manual does not provide a great deal of detail (elaboration) about how to remove the cover from the plenum chamber at the bottom of the windshield. This cover can be quite difficult to remove (meaning, it requires quite a bit of force) because of dirt and sand that can accumulate in the retaining channel.
