need all the info i can get on the audi V8 and audi 5000

hi all like the title says.
im building a kit car and i want to use the audi 3.6L or 4.2L V8 quattro and audi FWD type 016 transmission from the audi 5000.
now my understanding is that the audi V8 90-92 "not sure about the 93 and 94" manual transmissions where the 016 type trannys but in all wheel drive style.
so im asuming that both trannys even thought they belong to difrent vehicles they have the same bell housing pattern and allows for a bolt on engine swap.
if this info is not true please help me out! i need all the info i can get to make this project work.

im currently looking for an Audi V8 Quattro 90-92 engine,
better if the car had a manual transmission cus of the "type 016"
let me know what you got,
and what area are you from.

I am in Massachusetts, have a 1991 V8 but automatic. I think that the engine is in very good condition runs great. Timing belts should probably be changed soon (changed at ~80,000 miles) car has ~140,000 now.

well the timing belt it an $80.00 dollar item at autozone.
has this engine ever over heated?

No.Engine runs normal and in summer also. I am second owner of car.

just thinking of how expensive shiping this engine from Massachusetts to killeen tx is going to be.
i think the whole thing is going to be out of my budget for the engine.

well i asked for a quote at Highway Freight and this is what they sayed.
request # is 096288.
The freight quote per your request is: $217.00
so how much do you whant for the engine wire harnest and ecu and ill tell you if i can afford it. lol.
