THE HEAT ON MY 95 CABRIO SUDDENLY WENT COOL(NOT COLD)I'VE REMOVED THE BOX,CHECKED THE FLAPS,CHECKED THE FLOW OF THE CORE.THE ENGINE TEMP READS NORMAL.ALL SEEMS O.K. I'M REPLACING THE CORE ANYWAY.I'LL ALSO INSTALL A 92 DEGREE C.THERMOSTAT.FOAM HAS BEEN BLOWING OUT OF THE VENTS AND THERE ARE OPENINGS ON THE FLAPS ,BUT IT DOSEN'T LOOK LIKE THE FOAM WAS BONDED TO THE FLAPS.HAS ANY ONE EXPERENCED THIS PROBLEM? THANKS
KINDA WHAT I THOUGHT,I'M GOING TO BLOCK THEM WITH THIN SHEET ALUMINUM(I THINK I WOULD HAVE TO BUY THE WHOLE BOX AS THE FLAPS ARE NOT AVAILABLE SEPARATELY) AND RE-ASSEMBLE,I'LL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT WORKS OUT. THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY.
Thanks FKH161,for your replies, because this is my wives car and I plan on keeping for awhile I did the sheet tin method. The heat works great now.I appreciate your input, since this is a big job,and I didn't want to do it over,a little reassurance was very helpful.Again, Thanks.
