I have a 250k 97 gti with a 2.0. It was driving just fine until i started to realize it was climbing a bit over operating temperature. I pulled over and realized my fans weren't on. So I did what needed to be done to it anyways.

New water pump

New thermostat

Replaced FCM

Also replaced the sensor in the rad

After replacing all of that, still the fans don't turn on. I tested the fans and they work both low and high. I also jumped the FCM and it works low and high. The radiator is not clogged, and I don't have any leaks. Does anybody have any ideas on what it could be?

Well, i found my own problem here. After doing all of that, i went out and bought a radiator for it. replaced it, and it was still acting up. so i went through the wiring for the fans, and found out it was my ECT.
