There is a "high pitch wine" from the front end, not sure it is engine or trans related. The noise stops when you take your foot off of the gas. when the vehicle is "coasting" there is no noise!

Can you isolate the specific conditions that cause the wine and be more descriptive
  • -
Is the wining high, medium, or low pitch?
Does the wining change pitch with vehicle speed or rpm?
Does it wine the same in all the gears?
Does it wine when in park / neutral and you rev the motor to 3000?
Does it wine more going up a hill vs down a hill (load related)?

I would suspect transmission, but could be just a leaking vacuum line somewhere.
When was the last time you serviced the fluid / filter on the trans?
