Hello Fellow B5 (and 5.5) owners,
Can use your expertise. I have been chasing down the DTC's in my wife's GLX 4Motion Wagon for months. I just invested in the $20 Scanner/Code Reader from Amazon (best $20 I have spent on the car yet!), and it has helped me with numerous issues.

However, I have not been able to resolve the A/T code 18158 (P1750) Power Supply Low Voltage. The best I have been able to discover is the Alternator could be bad. The closest I have had is a dead battery, otherwise car runs great (same battery after checking the acid levels and charging). The indicator goes into limp mode infequently and the trans NEVER stops shifting well...even Tiptronic!

After 4 months, I finally bought a new purge valve to clear the 16825 (P0441). Clear for over a month, then returned. But only after getting the 16839 (P0455) Gross Leak aprrox. a week earlier. I am still working on isolating the leak. I was working on the valve cover gaskets (oil leak) when the CEL came on for the gross leak. I have checked the hoses, canister and even the purge valve and all seem fine.

Any input is appreciated!
Thank you in advance.
Mike
