Can anyone give me the Fcc Id # off of their 1996 A4 Quattro keyless remote? There are a couple on e-bay but we don't have a local Audi dealer for the part number. We recentlly bought the car and it was missing the remote. Do ones bought at auction really work? Thanks.

The FCC ID on my remote is "HC3870000102" This is a two-button remote. If you can not find a replacement - I have a spare available.

Hi, i have your problem too, but i was told that if you pull up the rear seat, you will see 2 modules, other than the Airbag one. if u have those 2, then u have keyless, but i don't have a remote either, i really wish i had one though, i wonder if changing the modules would let me have a more common remote. mine is a 96 A4 2.8.

A local dealer told me a replacement two button keyfob was $130 CAD, but that it "needed to be coded to the car in the shop".
I suspect there is a one hour minimum costing what the keyfob does.

I'm coming in late on this thread, but it suggests it can be done by a DIY'er?
