I hope this topic will get someone's interest since the last post has been 2 years ago.
I got a 1973 Porsche 914/4 stashed into my 1967 Beetle convertible.
Is there anyone who can help me find a manual to set up the engine perfectly ?
I've tried everything already but even the professional mechanics rather not work on it. Guess they rely on the computers nowadays.
By the way, the car is up for sale too, so if anyone is interested, i can always send some pictures.
Please reply if you can help me. Thx.
Hang loose.

I don't quite understand what stashing is? Do you mean that you have installed a 1973 914 engine in a beetle? If it is fuel injected than there is not much you can or need to do. I assume it uses D-Jetronic si the fuel is calculated from the engine speed and throttle position sensor. The engine speed is determined by little breaker points in the distributor. These are underneath the regular breaker points of the spark plug ignition (below a plate as I recall). They might need replacing and adjusting.

I would use a 914 repair manual for these. Good luck.
